So I guess I'm wondering for those of you guys that are still running on these machines, which OS would you recommend to install to run LPX? I'd also appreciate some advice on how to maintain the temperature of this machine. This was what caused the logic board on my MBP to burn up on 2 previous occasions. My only concern is that when my track count starts to stack up, my MBP tends to heat up. As of this moment I'm still running on OS X Yosemite. The 13 inch Mid-2009 MacBook Pro only natively. My Macbook seems to be supported for the upgrades.

Fortunately Apple has been kind enough to offer me free repairs for it. G4PPC said: I am considering updating my Macbook Mid 2009 to Sierra or High Sierra but I don't know which one I should upgrade to, I already downloaded the Sierra upgrade from apple support but for High Sierra I have to get it from the App Store. volume containg a previous version of OS X, and itll do an in-place upgrade. Now, a bit of a back story, my MBP has actually died on me twice over the past 5~ years that I've had it. Early-2008 or newer Mac Pro, iMac, or MacBook Pro (MacPro 3,1 and 4,1. Another one of my favourite go to synths would be Sound Reveal Spire. I mainly produce electronic music, and i tend to rely a lot on Native Instruments plugins as well as their soft synths.

I'm about to purchase a Crucial MX300 1TB SSD, and I'm looking to upgrade my OS to run Logic Pro X 10.3.1. Hey guys, so I'm trying to decide on which OS to run from as I'm going to be performing a long overdue upgrade on my Late 2011 17 inch Macbook Pro.
